PX, Tokaji, Eiswein"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fellow Wine Lovers,<\/p>\n<p>Reasons to be cheerful:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The clocks went back,\u00a0 thus the sun crosses the yard arm sooner after lunch<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re not a referee trying to run a Chelsea game<\/li>\n<li>Halloween is now done, no longer will mutants be knocking on your door demanding sweets<\/li>\n<li>Half term is nearly over<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re not stranded in New York, and you\u2019re alive<\/li>\n<li>The face fur you\u2019re growing for Mo-vember makes you look more Errol Flynn than Bruce Forsyth<\/li>\n<li>South Park have aired in the US their \u2018We all got duped\u2019 Lance Armstrong special<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re not a relative of Jimmy Saville<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re not an Ash tree<\/li>\n<li>The red wine season is now officially open, you can bag yourself a brace with no guilt!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Feel free to add your own reasons, this is just a selection that has been keeping us going\/sane this week!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Red Wine Season<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As mentioned above, the season is now in full swing.\u00a0 Today I am expecting the return of my <strong>Rioja<\/strong>, <strong>Decenio<\/strong>, both the Crianza and the Reserva.\u00a0 Also from Spain the ever popular <strong>Zorzal Graciano<\/strong> should be returning to the shelves.\u00a0 Elsewhere, Italy will be getting a few new arrivals covering North to South, <strong>Les Clos Perdus<\/strong> will be joining us from <strong>Corbieres<\/strong> and a new very fabulous <strong>Syrah<\/strong> from South Africa called <strong>Tamboerskloof<\/strong> will be jumping into your shopping bags quick as you like!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Not forgetting the Whites&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mulderbosch Chenin<\/strong> is back in, English fizz returns in the form of <strong>Gusbourne Estate<\/strong> and also back is our Austrian <strong>Eiswein<\/strong> <strong>by Hiedler<\/strong>.\u00a0 Did I mention our new <strong>Tokaji 5 Puttonyos<\/strong> and halves of <strong>PX<\/strong>?\u00a0\u00a0 Now you know&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>All this exciting new wine glut depends on the delivery drivers getting here, since as yet I haven\u2019t seen any of them, but I remain hopeful!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tasting this weekend<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If the Rioja arrives, then I will be pulling the cork on the <strong>Decenio Crianza 2009 (\u00a311.49)<\/strong>, mainly because I haven\u2019t had it for a while and we have missed each other enormously.\u00a0 For the white I\u2019m going to Austria, <strong>Turk Gruner Veltliner 2010 (\u00a314.99)<\/strong>, which we tasted again last week and my god does it remind you there is life after Sauvignon Blanc&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So, pop in and say hello any time today or tomorrow, lots of wine back in, bottles open, plenty of reasons to be cheerful!<\/p>\n<p>All the best,<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Alex &amp;
